Test Analysts

About the Role

RPMGlobal (RPM) is seeking Test Analysts with 5+ years of experience in testing complex applications. This is a permanent full-time role based in our Brisbane CBD headquarters. This position is in-office, however, it does allow for ad-hoc working from home. 

RPM is the market leader in enterprise solutions from mine planning to execution. This role will primarily work on RPM's advanced mine planning software, which is used by mining professionals worldwide to design, evaluate, and optimise mining strategies. These products combine geological data, engineering logic, and powerful algorithms to help clients make informed decisions across diverse mining environments.

As a Test Analyst, you will develop and maintain test scripts, execute system, regression, and integration testing, and manage defect logging and item prioritisation. You'll work closely with team members to prepare for testing phases and resolve issues efficiently to meet delivery timelines, ensuring each release meets the highest standards of accuracy, performance, and usability. 

Our software helps provide the raw materials needed to manufacture the products that enable the modern world, including lithium for batteries, steel, alloys, aluminum, and copper for electricity generation and transmission.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases


• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across application modules


• Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools and processes


• Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle


• Contribute to test automation initiatives and continuous improvement of QA practices

About You

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, ideally in complex desktop or engineering applications


• A solid understanding of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes. 
  


• Experience contributing to large-scale enterprise software projects. 


• An Agile mindset, comfortable participating in planning, reviews/demos, and retrospectives, and able to clearly communicate test results, coverage, and risk. 


• Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written form. 


• Must be legally entitled to work in Australia. 

Highly Regarded

• Experience in the mining industry or related engineering domains. 


• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.


• Knowledge about Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based testing environments. 


• Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
