Test & Evaluation Consultant - Defence - Career Growth Potential

To be considered for this contract, you will need to be an Australian citizen and have an NV1 or higher security clearance in place. Contract is due to commence in July 2024. Contract duration will be 4 years. Candidates seeking salaried employment should also consider applying. 

Defence requires the provision of Systems and Software Engineering - Testing and Evaluation services to develop plans relating to Test and Evaluation (T&E), Verification and Validation (V&V), and capability realisation. The Services are also required to demonstrate requirements traceability in the development of these plans and supervise the conduct of V&V activities. 

Some of the key tasks will include:

• Lead the drafting of Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) v3, including the coordination and leading of stakeholder working groups. 
• Coordinate and lead T&E Governance meetings 
• Aligned to Master schedule package, Major Systems Verification V&V (1.20.20.5), V&V Phase 1.
• Support other T&E stakeholders in the conduct of individual T&E serial planning, execution and reporting. 

As the ideal candidate you should possess the following skills:

Essential: 

• Formal qualifications and specific experience in Test and Evaluation, preferably in an FMS or MOTS Aviation context. 
• Expert understanding of the application of Defence Aviation Safety 
• Regulations to Major Projects.
• Airworthiness Certification Program Planning. 
• Capability in assessing ADF Configuration, Role and Environment against a prior foreign certification basis. 
• Experience in researching and interpreting a foreign operator’s airworthiness system to understand certification risks and design appropriate project controls.  

Desirable: 

• Working on the acquisition of a new Defence capability through the foreign military sales process. 
• Experience with US Department of Defense Aviation Test and Evaluation
