ABOUT THE ROLE


The Ticketing Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support across all AFL Competitions by fulfilling internal ticketing requirements of AFL stakeholders, including ensuring update-to-date financials and recording. In addition, the role will be responsible for responding to inbound customer queries, as well as providing general administrative to support to all team members.


 


Please note this is a casual position. 


 


A DAY IN THE LIFE


Ticketing Operations



  • Allocate and distribute internal and external stakeholder ticketing requirements both interstate and in Victoria

  • Deliver standard internal AFL ticketing allocations (e.g. Auskick, Umpires, enclosures) as required

  • Assist in the processing and distribution of AFL and Club accreditation

  • Assist in the delivery and fulfilment of ticketing programs.

  • Accurate data entry and management of all ticketing databases including AFL Award Winners, accreditation, and ticketing programs.

  • Management of AFL Ticketing & AFL Award Winner inbox with emails responded to in a timely manner

  • Communicate ticketing updates effectively and in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders

  • Where required support the Ticketing Department in any task to assist in the delivery of all ticketing services and operations, including match days.


 


Planning, Processes and Reporting



  • Understanding of best practice, compliance and policy frameworks regarding ticketing operations to respond to enquiries as required

  • Provide detailed and timely reports in appropriate formats as required

  • Be part of a collaborative, integrated, effective team in a fun, positive and open work environment while working both in the office and remotely


 


Stakeholder & Fan Relationships



  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with ticketing agents, venue representatives, Clubs and internal departments

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients and ensure all customer enquiries are handled in a friendly and efficient manner

  • Demonstrated experience with ticketing systems and processes

  • Ability to work independently and to strict guidelines and deadlines

  • Strong team work ethic

  • Ability to effectively multi-task

  • Outstanding customer service

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong administration skills


 


Mandatory



  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a ticketing related role

  • Competency with ticketing systems and processes

  • Background in customer service or engagement


 


Desirable



  • Completion of VCE or equivalent

  • Experience in customer service or engagement

  • Experience in office administration

  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)

  • Working knowledge of ticketing systems and processes

  • Knowledge of membership databases

  • Experience or knowledge of AFL or other large-scale sporting organisations
