Job Description

This position will entail complete responsibility for the Trade department and Mitre 10 'Drive thru'. You will be responsible for the effective operating, running and achievement of budget of their store through effective leadership and management of their team and developing an exceptional customer centric culture.  Reporting to the Area Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that their team is inspired and empowered to deliver the achievement of sales, key performance indicators and customer service. The Trade Manager is aligned with our vision to ensure that each customer’s needs are met. in charge of leading a team to provide exceptional service to our customer and builder clients.

The role

• Driving the trade business, sales and profit margins, contributing to the overall running and success of the business


• Meeting and exceeding all sales targets and KPIs of the business


• Oversee the complete operations of the inventory management, merchandising, stock ordering, and store presentation


• Create fun and engaging ways to connect to the community


• Lead staff, providing Training and Development to develop your team


• Develop and maintain rosters, thinking on your feet to respond to changes


• Complete reviews and performance management processes 

Ideally you will have or be

• Prior experience or knowledge in the Building & Trade sector


• A focus for safety and compliance with regulatory requirements


• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably a store/assistant store manager role


• A passion for the hardware and building products


• Excellent Customer Service
