Trade & General Retai Sales Position

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Trade & Retail Sales Team Member to join our team at our Aura store. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in the building and construction industry who is passionate about customer service and enjoys working across a variety of retail and trade areas including Paint, Power Tools, Power Garden and general building products.

If you have a desire to learn, a proactive attitude and strong customer service skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your skills and build a career within the Sunshine Group. You will work across both our Trade and Retail divisions, supporting customers with expert advice, product solutions and day-to-day store operations.

Please note there will be weekend work required.

The Role

• Processing customer sales and counter sales


• Assisting customers with the selection of hardware and building products


• Picking customer orders


• Unloading and storing heavy and light timbers and building materials


• Merchandising and maintaining store presentation standards


• Proactively approaching and engaging with customers


• Providing expert advice across multiple retail departments


• Identifying customer needs and recommending suitable solutions


• Championing retail departments and assisting in driving sales growth


• Attending supplier training to expand product knowledge


• Working collaboratively with the wider team to achieve store goals

Ideally You Will Have

• Knowledge and understanding of the Hardware & Building sector


• Previous experience in retail, trade sales or the building industry


• Excellent customer service and communication skills


• A self-motivated attitude with a strong team focus


• Energy, initiative and a positive “can do” attitude


• Forklift licence desirable but not essential


• A willingness to learn and develop across multiple departments
