The Opportunity

Our Energy & Utilities business has an opportunity for Trades Assistants to join our team at Mt Piper Power Station during a major shutdown project. Working as part of the shutdown team, you will assist with the replacement of cooling tower fill packing, while supporting trades personnel, maintaining safe work areas, and ensuring high housekeeping standards are upheld throughout the project. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a critical maintenance program within a dynamic team environment.

About You 

• Previous experience working as a Trades Assistant within a heavy industry, mining, power generation, construction, or shutdown environment
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards
• Experience working in confined spaces and around heavy industrial equipment
• Ability to safely use hand tools and equipment required to carry out assigned tasks
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling duties
• Team player with well-developed communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical

Required Site Qualifications:

• Full working rights in Australia
• Current Driver Licence
• Construction White Card
• Working Safely at Heights
• Confined Space 
• Gas Test Atmosphere
