Our Opportunity:

Fulton Hogan Infrastructure Services are now seeking an experienced Traffic Management Designer (TMD) to join our traffic management division’s team. You’ll design, coordinate and support traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes across a wide range of projects in Southeast QLD and occasionally throughout Regional QLD. Working closely with operations, permits and field teams, you’ll ensure plans are compliant, practical and delivered to a high standard. This role suits a proactive designer who values ownership, collaboration and being part of a growing, high tempo team.

This role will be based in Brisbane/Gold Coast.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS).
• Ensure designs comply with legislation (QLD MUTCD, AGTTM and QGTTM).
• Conduct risk and hazard identification and document control.
• Liaise with local councils, state authorities, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and support permit submissions and approvals and review and update plans and TGSs as works progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation, version control and reporting.
• Help maintain the company’s traffic management registration scheme certification.

How will you connect to the role?

• Traffic Management Designer (TMD) accreditation.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and White Card.
• Experience using RapidPlan or similar traffic design software.
• Strong understanding of AS 1742.3, AGTTM, QGTTM and relevant Codes of Practice.
• Knowledge of safety management systems and risk processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
