It is a physical role with unusual hours and early and late starts. They perform a risk assessment and take photos of each site before each session, communicate with a control room to align and test cameras, and are trained to respond to angry and aggressive behaviour.Applications are now open for locals interested in road safety systems, work health and safety procedures, and how to report road safety hazards. We're looking for people who can work a rotating roster that includes weekdays, nights and weekends. We're looking for Trainee Mobile Speed Camera Operators to join the team in Wagga Wagga.DUTIES INCLUDE:Fully adhering to all road rules and demonstrating safe driving behaviour at all times Performing a risk assessment of the site before each enforcement session and report sites that are unusable with accompanying Site Maintenance Reports with photos where appropriate Coordinating with the control room for camera set up and testing before session commencementRemaining alert and attentive through an enforcement sessionAdhering to business rules in responding to angry or aggressive behaviourPerforming pre- and post-shift vehicle inspectionsMaintaining regular communications with the control room throughout the shiftREMUNERATION:Trainee Full-Time Mobile Speed Camera Operators are paid $26.18 an hour for ordinary hours. The penalty rates are $31.42 an hour for night shifts, $31.42 an hour on Saturdays, $39.27 an hour on Sundays, and $39.27 - $52.36 an hour for overtime.The ordinary hourly rate will increase to the operator rate of $28.57 an hour once you pass the competency assessment (from the 3–6 months anniversary of employment).WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:Full NSW driver's licence and a clean driving recordComfortable being seated in a vehicle for extended periodsAble to work alone for each shift (10–12 hours), drive long distances or to multiple locations in regional and remote areas Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster that includes weekdays, nights and weekends THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS:G4S runs a staged recruitment process that includes:Applying online with a CVCompleting a Virtual Job PreviewProviding a copy of your Driving Record.
