Trainee Thermoforming Technician - Excellent Benefits Package

Raptis Pax Pty Ltd has been established for over 30 years and is a leader in the plastic packaging industry. The company's head office and manufacturing facility is based in Rocklea, Brisbane.

Our Engineering team is currently seeking a motivated person to join them in the role of Trainee Thermoforming Technician.

The successful candidate, under the mentorship of our Senior Technicians, will undertake intensive hands-on training in the repair, setup and maintenance of a wide range of Thermoforming equipment including Sencorp and Scope Machines

The Role – What you will learn

• How to remove, check and install Thermoform tooling dies
• Perform machine setups, inspections and adjustments.
• Maintain quality in accordance with company policies & specifications 
• Ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order
• Inspecting and refurbishing Thermoform tooling Dies 
• Correct use of all tools, equipment and machinery, including Forklift
• Ensure a high-level of safety focus during operations
• Working both in the workshop and on the production floor
• Complete all relevant paperwork related to the role

Skills & Experience

• Have a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn on the job
• Previous experience in the maintenance sector is highly desirable but not essential.
• A strong focus and commitment towards OH&S in the workplace
• A positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to develop skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing the required tasks.
• Willingness to follow instructions and ask for assistance when needed
• Forklift license desired but not essential
• Certification's such as WSAH & Confined Space would be advantageous.
• Clear police clearance/record.
• Valid Driver's License

Pay: $62,400.00 – $72,800.00 per year

• 8.5 hour shift
• Afternoon shift
• Day shift + shift Loading
• Night shift + Shift Loading
