About the Roles
We are currently seeking outstanding contractors to join our dedicated team for face-to-face classes at our Ingleburn campuses
Working hours can be 1 or up to 5 days per week
Our train-the-trainer program consists of 2 weeks full-time plus homework assignments and a mentor program
Once completed we offer an attractive hourly rate.
Permanent work may be offered depending on performance.
As a Casual Trainer and Assessor in any of the following trades
- HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
- Flammable Refrigerants Course
You will provide professional teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of delivery, planning, and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for learners, the organisations that employ them and the communities they serve.
Focusing on excellence in learner support, teaching delivery and learning assessment, your key accountabilities will be to:
- Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners.
- Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including online, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles.
- Implement the RTO 2015 standards across all training and assessment practice.
- Maintain professional development by ensuring educational currency and excellence and actively participating in the development of own annual professional development plan in line with STC’s practices and policies.
- Conducting and marking the assessments
- Maintain Student Records
About You
- A person who can engage and motivate students by delivering exciting classes
- Highly motivated and wants to be part of an outstanding team of Trainers
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Ability to show initiative and work independently
- Solid understanding of the trade practices
You will have the following:
- Current Industry and VET experience. You must have practical industry experience in the relevant field
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) activities in the relevant trade area
- TAE preferrable or alternatively must be willing to start with a TAE qualification
