Transactional Finance Manager | Insurance

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Transactional Finance Manager to lead critical finance operations across a complex and fast-growing business environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role overseeing trust accounting, accounts payable operations, financial controls, and process improvement initiatives across multiple business units.

Working closely with senior leadership, operational stakeholders, and shared services teams, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving governance frameworks, and supporting ongoing finance transformation initiatives.

The Opportunity

This position will lead day-to-day transactional finance operations while also driving continuous improvement, automation, and scalable process design across the broader finance function.

You will oversee high-volume finance operations in a regulated environment, ensuring strong controls, efficient workflows, and exceptional stakeholder service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Finance Operations

• Oversee trust accounting and accounts payable operations across multiple entities
• Manage reconciliations, payment processing, cash movements, and transactional controls
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of finance transactions and reporting activities
• Monitor operational performance and resolve escalated finance issues

Governance, Controls & Compliance

• Maintain strong financial controls and governance processes
• Support audit activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations
• Drive improvements across reconciliation integrity, approval workflows, and operational risk management
• Strengthen operational procedures and finance documentation

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead and develop transactional finance teams across onshore and offshore operations
• Partner with finance, operational, compliance, and technology stakeholders
• Deliver operational insights and reporting to senior leadership
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and service-oriented culture

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability
• Support finance transformation, automation, and systems enhancement initiatives
• Drive process standardisation and workflow optimisation across finance operations
• Contribute to shared services and operational improvement programs
