If you’re ready for an exciting new challenge, we have opportunity for an experienced Transport Leading Hand to join our friendly site-based teams, working a Fly-In-Fly-Out roster across Western Australia’s remote sites. Permanent Sodexo Employees receive a daily allowance in addition to their ordinary wages for shifts performed on site.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Leading Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory or leading hand experience within the mass transport industry, coupled with strong leadership capabilities to foster a positive, engaged team culture with a strong focus on safety.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and lead by example. A high level of computer literacy and familiarity with digital systems, is essential.

Prior experience in FIFO or remote bus driving services will be highly regarded.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum HR class Western Australian driver’s licence with PTD authorisation (or the ability to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience operating buses with 53+ seat capacity.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate a high regard for safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supervision and coordination of daily activities for a team of bus drivers.
• Monitoring and providing support for scheduled transport runs.
• Preparing and managing driver rosters.
• Overseeing the maintenance and servicing of village vehicles.
• Managing stock control, ordering, and maintenance requirements for the transport team.

Reporting directly to the Transport Supervisor and Village Manager, the Transport Leading Hand will assist with the delivery of daily pre-start meetings, maintain up-to-date driver training and qualification records, and support the village team with troubleshooting and issue escalation as needed.
