Transport Planner/VBS Coordinator

We are currently seeking a VBS Coordinator/Transport Planner to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of containers to and from stevedores, ensuring that all transport-related activities for the FFS operation are planned and executed within agreed timeframes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensure compliance with Work, Health & Safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe workplace for yourself, colleagues, and others.
• Book time slots and stack runs for FFS to collect import containers and deliver export containers to Fremantle Stevedores.
• Prevent import container storage issues by ensuring time slots are booked within the free time window.
• Report on KPIs, such as cost control, billable slot fees, and at-fault wrong zone/no-show fees.
• Optimise fleet planning to maximise productivity and ensure smooth movement of containers.
• Develop and implement operational improvements, striving for continuous performance enhancements.
• Provide detailed shift handover reports and perform other tasks as required.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of 1 year in a fleet control or transport planning role, ideally within the logistics or transport industry.
• Strong understanding of 1 Stop/VBS systems and container logistics.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR), WA Main Roads, and HSE legislation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience managing KPIs and working with performance targets.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of accuracy
