Truck Driver - Glass (MR)

G.James Glass and Aluminium is Australia's leading integrated glass and aluminium manufacturer and contractor. Our privately owned, family company employs 1900 people with operations throughout Australia. 
We are looking for a multi-skilled experienced Truck Driver (current MR license) for our Newcastle Glass Team who is prepared to assist the day-to-day distribution of our glass products; with a physical handling, customer and safety focus. 
 
The Role:
On a daily basis you will be involved in manual handling including loading and unloading of glass products. You will be required to identify appropriate load restraint techniques and be comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Critical to your success will be your adaptability and willingness to take direction. This position will give you the opportunity to gain a real insight into the aluminium / glass industry.

• Permanent full time position with immediate start available
• Hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 3:30pm with applicable overtime
• Competitive EBA (above award) Wage ($34 per hour) + Overtime 
• Monthly paid Rostered Day Off (RDO)

The Person:

• Experience in loading and unloading manufactured products - Glass handling experience (highly desired)
• Previous experience as a Truck Driver with a current manual or automatic MR license 
• Previous multi-drop experience
• Willing to undertake manual labour to assist with the delivery of products
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing)
• Ensuring tasks are completed in a safe, timely and accurate manner
