Trust Accountant

We are looking for a passionate, self-driven and experienced Trust Accountant to join our team in driving forward the new way of living in Perth.

The role

Although from a far we look like a Property Management team, it is much more than that. You will collaborate with the team on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of the trust account, along with finding efficiencies and new ways of working to enable our goals to be reached and to help the team grow.

Location

This role will operate out of our head office is in South Perth.

Ideal candidate will;

• Have experience in a similar property trust accounting role.
• Have significant experience with PropertyMe or the like
• Have experience with Xero 
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office
• Have CA or CPA qualifications preferable but not essential.
• Have exceptional attention to detail. 
• Be willing to work independently without close supervision
• Enjoy working within a team
• Demonstrate a willingness to try new ideas
• Have good written word / Communication skills
• Be highly organised to ensure daily, weekly and monthly timelines are met. 

Duties will include;

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the company's trust accounting systems, ensuring all company and legislative obligations are accurately delivered at all times.
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Daily, weekly and monthly processing of income and expenditure payments.
• Managing all Trust Account needs for Property Management including Mid Month / EOM.
• Data entry of all property details and critical lease information into property management software.
• Tracking and receipting of unknown payments
• Tenant refunds
• Bond disposals
• Reconciliation of trust accounts.
• Administration of property budgets.
• Administration and reconciliation of property expenses. 
• Preparation of EOFY property reconciliations and assistance with auditors.
• Prepare documentation for audits when required;
• Preparation of month end property and financial accounts and reporting.
• Implementation and management of all trust accounting systems, software and procedures.
• Provide creative solutions to improve efficiencies in trust accounting processes.
• Use Xero for invoicing and reconciliation
• Preparation of BAS, PAYG and Super lodgement
• Work with external accountants for FYE queries and audits
