About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Urban Forest Planner/Project Arborist to join council and lead their urban forest asset management across multiple projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our urban environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct pre-planning and project impact assessments.
- Secure tree protection approvals and perform auditing.
- Ensure projects enhance urban forest and mitigate adverse effects on tree canopy cover and biodiversity.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications and Experience: - Minimum AQF Level 5 in Arboriculture.
- QTRA/TRAC registered.
- Proven experience in contributing to multi-disciplinary teams.
- High-level negotiation and influencing skills.
- Extensive experience in tree survey and AIA (Arboricultural Impact Assessment) preparation, tree protection, and project supervision.
