What do we want?
We’re looking for an epic Venue Manager to be at the heart of our retail operations, taking charge of our fast-paced Surry Hills & Carriageworks sites. You will manage day to day operations, guiding and motivating our leaders and retail team to deliver exceptional customer experience, uphold quality, improve store performance, and implement consistent retail practices in a safe & sustainable way.
We’ll love you, if you have:
- Proven experience successfully managing high-volume hospitality venues.
- 2-3 years experience leading hospo teams in restaurants, fine dining and/or café’s.
- A knack for numbers, confidently managing budgets and deciphering reports.
- You're a proactive leader who cares about people.
- You're highly organised and adaptive, with exceptional communication.
- A passion for coffee with an appreciation of craft is an absolute must!
Key responsibilities:
- Manage day to day operations of Surry Hills & Carriageworks sites, keeping things running smoothly & vibes high!
- Lead and empower our team of Baristas, Floor & Kitchen Staff through ongoing feedback, training, and clear communication of Single O's vision, plans & procedures.
- Lead by example, providing spirited customer service. Energise and support your team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that goes above & beyond.
- Receive and resolve customer feedback and reviews.
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and create a safe and supportive environment for all.
- Manage staff rostering and oversee induction and training programs.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver delicious seasonal menu changes that are on brand for Single O.
- Lead & champion key retail SOP’s & operating procedures.
- Provide input on quarterly pricing reviews in line with market and COGS of food & beverage options.
- Manage maintenance, suppliers, POS and site management to keep our spaces looking great and up to date.
- Lead Barista & Chef teams to help develop new products to grow sales and drive foot traffic both new & returning.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing ensuring our brand shines through consistent visual merchandising and supporting key innovations and promotions.
- Champion sustainability, leading our efforts to reduce environmental impact by embracing initiatives that do good for people & planet.
