Join this busy venue NOR as the Venue Manager and manage this iconic venue where you will be envied by your friends and industry peers! You will be an experienced manager across tavern, bottleshop, TAB and Blue Line Entertainment.

About the Role:
Are you an experienced Venue Manager with a passion for hospitality and a knack for leadership?

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated "old skool" individual to oversee the operations of our bustling venue located just north of the CBD.

As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the venue, managing staff, and providing an exceptional experience for our patrons. This venue is also a licenced Blue Line Venue therefore, you will need to have experience with dealing with clientele from all walks of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall Operations: Oversee and manage operations, staff, and patrons in line with company policies and compliance regulations.
  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership to manage resources and maintain high operational standards.
  • Management of HODS: Work with heads of departments to meet and exceed targets set by the owners, ensuring profitability and efficient task completion.
  • Staff Development: Monitor staff performance, enhance productivity, and foster their professional growth.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations for all staff and patrons.
  • Financial Oversight: Evaluate and improve the venue's operations and financial performance by managing budgets and designing growth strategies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and communicate regular reports to the owners, handling administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Supplier Management: Update and negotiate supplier agreements, maintaining business development relationships.
  • Scheduling: Collaborate with department heads to create effective work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing during peak periods and events.
  • Event Planning: Plan, cost, and organize major events throughout the year, especially during slow periods, to maximize patronage.
  • Marketing: Develop advertising and marketing plans targeting the local audience.
  • Function Management: Oversee functions, liaise with prospective companies for bookings, and manage event relationships.
  • Networking: Maintain and develop local business relationships to meet their accommodation and function needs.
  • Daily Management: Manage all aspects of daily operations, including the tavern, bottleshop, TAB, entertainers, and staff, addressing issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Proficiency in developing marketing strategies and event planning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
