About the role

The Boathouse Group are heading south to the Wollongong coast for the first time, and we are looking for a superstar Venue Manager to come onboard as we prepare for opening, and to lead their team to success. The VM is responsible for the management & execution of daily operations and people management of the venue. In this role you will:

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, through hands-on management & development of team & product in the venue.
• Oversee and manage all people practices as required including recruitment, onboarding, training and development of your team.
• Lead the team in a positive and effective manner to ensure productivity, motivation and teamwork are always maintained at a high standard;
• Manage labour relentlessly, monitor COGs and operational costs to ensure controllable financials are managed to the maximisation of the business.

About you

To be the perfect addition to The Boathouse Group, you will have 5 years prior experience in a management role leading a large team and managing a venue with 300+ capacity. In your previous roles you will have demonstrated your good time management and organisational skills and shown excellent leadership. You’ll also:

• Have great wine knowledge;
• Be confident, calm and approachable;
• Be motivated to continue growing and developing your career with an excellent business;
• Hold a valid RSA and First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain.
