Venue Manager - Urgent Hiring

Belles is an American-diner style casual restaurant and bar founded by two fine dining chefs and a maitre d in Fitzroy 10-years ago. Now with 6 busy restaurants between Sydney and Melbourne, people know us for our now infamous hot chicken, easy-drinking booze, soulful tunes and super warm service.

While on the surface we may appear like another great neighbourhood restaurant or chicken joint, at Belles it's all the 1%-ers that set us apart. Like our full table service, live-streaming DJ radio, Belles Original Draught on tap and the obsession we have with our guest experience!

And Adelaide… we're coming in hot very soon! Our flagship restaurant is opening mid June in the CBD and is our best yet, in true Belles style and vibe. 

Right now, we’re looking for a career driven and passionate Venue Manager to join the Belles family, working closely with our Partner, Bar/Duty Manager, Kitchen Manager and FOH team.

In this role you'll be leading venue operations, services and our team in the absence of the Partner with the opportunity to progress to a General Manager role.

Experience, Skills & Attitude required:

• At least 2-years experience in an Assistant Manager, Bar Manager or Venue Manager role in a very fast-paced restaurant with table service
• A genuine love for looking after people - including great banter - both our guests and our team
• An obsessive level of detail and organisation - and loves a checklist!
• A passion for training and mentoring in both service and product knowledge - a true leader by example and coach, not a ‘manager’
• Professionalism and the ability to proactively lead the FOH and kitchen team to meet all Belles standards for every service
• A real glass-half-full mentality - we love troubleshooting issues with ease, care and without stress
• Loves and thrives in a busy service - that sweet sweet spot where all tables are full, food and drinks are flying out, the speakers are pumping and there's a wait list for our house of golden good
