As a Village Support Officer, you’ll play an important part in supporting the daily operations of our village through cleaning, maintenance support, and assisting with community functions.
 

Your Role as Village Support Officer

• This is a hands-on role focused primarily on cleaning duties while also supporting the village team with general maintenance, gardening, and function set-ups.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the village and common areas

• Provide support with general onsite maintenance and gardening tasks

• Assist with setting up and packing down activity rooms and village functions

• Support waste management and ensure work areas are maintained safely and efficiently

• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and PPE safely in line with workplace procedures

• Report maintenance issues, hazards, and incidents as required

• Work collaboratively with the village support team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in cleaning, maintenance support, gardening, or similar hands-on roles

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• A positive attitude and willingness to assist across different tasks as needed

• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices

• Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work

Essential Requirements

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)

• Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy
