Viscount Operations and Supply Chain Strategic Projects Manager

Viscount is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Operations and Supply Chain Strategic Projects Manager. This is an exciting internal opportunity to play a key role in leading the operational and supply chain requirements that will support the successful launch and growth of strategic projects across the Viscount business.

Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Commercial and Finance teams, this role will help bring key growth initiatives to life, including pallets, wholesale markets, folding bins and other new strategic categories aligned to Viscount’s five-year strategy.

About this opportunity

In this role, you will lead the operations and supply chain elements of business-wide strategic projects from concept development through to implementation. You will work with internal stakeholders, customers and strategic partners to understand requirements, develop practical operating models, document processes and ensure the right people, systems, training and operational inputs are in place for successful delivery.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Partner with Commercial and Sales teams to shape the scope of strategic projects, ensuring operations and supply chain requirements are fully considered.
• Engage with customers, strategic partners and best-practice businesses to understand needs and identify practical operating solutions.
• Work with Viscount Operations and Supply Chain teams to develop, test and document how new processes will work across the business.
• Develop process maps, workflows, operating procedures and training materials to support implementation.
• Project manage the operations and supply chain elements of strategic initiatives, ensuring plant, people, systems and processes are ready on time.
• Coordinate across operational teams and customers to support smooth implementation and ongoing execution.
• Provide regular updates and briefings to the GM Operations and Supply Chain.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

• Strong operational and supply chain experience, ideally within a pooling or similar operational environment, with a solid understanding of end-to-end processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions, build alignment, and bring diverse teams together to achieve business objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, listening, facilitation, and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to translate strategic initiatives into practical operational plans and successfully deliver outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving capability, with the confidence and commercial awareness to embed operational and supply chain considerations into new business opportunities.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering, with project management qualifications advantageous.
• High levels of energy, passion, commitment, and maturity, with a focus on delivering successful business results.
