Job Description - Volunteer - Swim Assistant

Volunteer opportunities include supporting our allied health therapy teams working with children and adults, supporting our Lifestyles, sports and accommodation clients, or gaining experience in our corporate services. 

Details of the role:

A weekly group of highly motivated swimmers with a strong group identity, aged 10 to 30 who are training to improve swim strokes, fitness, racing skills, and having fun with friends and peers.

Dates & Times:

Days: Saturday's

Time: 9:15am - 12:00pm
Location: Narrabeen Swimming Club

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Follow the session plan put together by the Head Swim Coach.  

  • Support swimmers to follow the set of drills. 

  • Observing, motivating, correcting and providing feedback to clients.  

  • Joining the warmup and leading this if confident to do so.  

  • Helping with the timing of the races at the end of the session.     

Role requirements: 

  • 16 years and above 

  • NDIS Worker Screening 

  • Working with Children Check (NSW)

  • AustSwim certificate or similar
