About the Role: 

We are in search of a highly motivated Warehouse Assistant. In this role, you will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and collaborate closely with your counterpart to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will encompass packing and dispatching a wide range of hospitality equipment, including refrigeration, ovens, cooktops, and coffee machines, to our diverse customer base across Australia.

We are seeking an individual who is not only capable across various warehouse functions but is also passionate, adaptable to change, and thrives in a diverse environment. Above all, we are looking for someone with a strong desire to help others, which complements their skill set.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse
• Collaborate with the internal team to implement continuous improvement measures
• Help manage and maintain inventory controls, including storage, tracking, and inward/outward deliveries
• Handle the packing of daily orders
• Apply decals to units before dispatch
• Assist with inventory management and reporting
• Coordinate freight and distribution with transport companies
• Maintain and clean large catering equipment items
• Test and tag equipment
• Unload containers
• Assist in managing and tracking inventory interstate
• Ensure delivery/pickup deadlines are met
• Box, wrap/unwrap catering equipment to company standards
• Adhere to safety, quality, and company standards

Skills and Expertise:

• Certification in warehouse operations and/or a minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the hospitality equipment sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in computing
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to warehouse health and safety protocols
• Punctual and reliable
• Experience with unpacking containers
• Forklift license
• Driver's license
• Highly organized
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
