Wedding and Events Planner

Brisbane Powerhouse is a vibrant cultural landmark, presenting a dynamic year-round program of performances, festivals, exhibitions, and private events. Located beside the beautiful New Farm Park, we are a hub for creativity, community, and unforgettable experiences. We are currently seeking a part-time Wedding and Events Planner to join our Events and Partnerships team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

As a Wedding and Events Planner, you’ll be responsible for coordinating weddings and private events from initial client briefing through to event delivery. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients to ensure every detail is planned and executed seamlessly, on time, and within budget. This hands-on role manages client communications, event logistics, staffing coordination, financial administration, and post-event follow-up, all of which contribute to creating truly memorable celebrations.

This is a part-time position working two weekdays and Saturdays, with occasional Sunday work depending on operational needs and event schedules.

About You

You’ll bring at least three years’ experience in wedding or event planning within an arts, entertainment, or venue environment. You will be a skilled organiser with a passion for delivering high-quality events, backed by strong coordination, budgeting, and client service expertise. Your ability to communicate effectively, solve problems under pressure, and manage competing priorities will set you apart.
