Welder (First Class)/Metal Fabricator

Our Client, AA Diesel Truck Bodies Pty Ltd, one of Melbourne’s most trusted truck body builders is looking for experienced welding Technician to join our team.

Full time, Permanent Position

Requirements

Candidates should be fully qualified, experienced in MIG welding have maximum of 3 years’ experience, an excellent work ethic and be motivated to work as part of a highly efficient and skilled team of professionals to deliver high quality custom truck bodies to our client.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.

• Constructing base templates if necessary.

• Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.

• Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.

• Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.

• Welding and constructing metal components.

• Grinding and finishing completed products.

• Performing quality checks on completed products.

• Conforming with state and company safety regulations.

• Completing job reports.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000/Year depending on qualifications and experience.
