Weldment Supplier Quality Engineer 3

Work with Lam Product Group Engineering organizations in development and release of new weldment design Coordinate and support investigation of key quality defects of components from the customers and/or field service team to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement Drive the improvement of the weldment suppliers\u0027 quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery Act as liaison / technical lead for cross functional projects to include Design review Audit and document supply base performance on critical process of records and overall quality management systems Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier business managers Leads, and is personally accountable for, high profile project timelines and milestones. Continuously working on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods Provide technical support in weldment fabrication supplier in deposition and etch product deployment and transition Perform Standardized Supplier Quality Audits and administer Supplier Quality Scorecard for existing suppliers to promote continuous improvement. Drive Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis on NCes and Escalations Min +4 years of experience with Weldment/Foreline supplier quality engineering Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including experience in the areas of mechanical and electrical engineering In-depth understanding of welding process and tube weldment/foreline fabrication process In-depth understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes Basic understanding for workmanship standard especially assembly process Solid understanding of statistical process control Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities Experience in supplier process development \u0026 quality management Understanding of failure analysis and problem solving Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance Ability to travel up to 25% (International \u0026 domestic travelling) Bachelor\u0027s degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering from accredited University a must Functional understanding of, Thermal \u0026 Gas-Flow Control systems, Hardware Instrumentation \u0026 Controls.
