Position Summary:
As our Senior Client Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of clients while leading and supporting your team. In this role, you will review work, mentor team members, and manage workflow to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
Provide strategic financial advice and insights to help clients achieve their business goals and enhance financial performance.
Oversee the delivery of accounting, tax, and advisory services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of accountants and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Conduct regular client meetings, review financial statements, and present key findings and recommendations.
Stay informed on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends to provide up-to-date, strategic advice.
Ensure all client deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
Skills:
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting.
Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Experience reviewing and mentoring junior accounting staff.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software Xero, QuickBooks, BGL and HandiSoft (preferred, but not essential).
