Job Description - Works Delivery Leader


About the role

Base salary from $156,308 per annum + super + overtime opportunities + 9 day fortnight


 


At TasNetworks, we’re powering Tasmania’s future — and we’re looking for strong operational leaders to help lead the safe and efficient delivery of work across our network.


We currently have two leadership opportunities in Operations, in our Electrical Services and Overhead Distribution (South) teams – the roles of Electrical Services South and Service Connections and Fault Works Delivery Leader are available.


As a Works Delivery Leader, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team working across multiple worksites, ensuring Program of Work activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.


This is a hands-on leadership role where people leadership, safety, planning and operational delivery all come together.


In this role, you will:



  • Lead and support field-based teams across multiple locations and disciplines

  • Champion a strong, interdependent safety culture where people look out for one another

  • Drive safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of Program of Work activities

  • Build strong engagement and performance across your teams

  • Work closely with leaders and stakeholders to improve operational outcomes

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and smarter ways of working

  • Use systems and performance data to monitor delivery and drive results

  • Support and develop future leaders and team capability across the business


 

About you

You’re a practical and people-focused leader who knows how to bring teams together, navigate challenges and keep work moving safely and effectively.


You’ll bring:



  • Significant experience leading trade, technical or operational teams

  • Utility, distribution or transmission network experience (highly regarded)

  • Strong leadership capability with experience building high-performing teams

  • Commercial awareness and ability to use data to improve performance

  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to balance customer service, safety and risk when working with the public

  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence

  • Relevant qualifications, trade background or willingness to further develop

  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Tasmania as required
