THE ROLE

We're on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team in Bayswater. In this role, you'll be instrumental in steering and supervising a team to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, a tireless work ethic, and a dedication to achieving exceptional outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fleet scheduling and planning. This includes monitoring and maintaining fleet maintenance plans and service schedules.
• Lead, train and motivate workshop staff in their day-to-day duties relating to the effective repair and maintenance of the fleet.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality deficiencies and minimise rework or waste.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Co-ordinate rosters of the technicians ensuring works are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness among staff, conduct safety training, and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
• Actively supporting the Hire and Administrative teams to meet and exceed their goals and objectives.
• Contributing to key administrative tasks that include operational and finance reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Handling logistical responsibilities, including supply chain management (parts, assets, and transport), customer service, client services, quality management, etc.

ABOUT YOU:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Workshop Leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
• Qualified EWP or Forklift mechanic (advantage)
• A passion and drive for outstanding service level standards, combined with a demonstrated history of developing, coaching, and mentoring the team towards this.
• Resilient, calm and an ability to manage dynamic and high-pressure situations.
• Demonstrable organisational, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in using an EWP booking system (e.g.: Syrinx) is desirable.
• Current unrestricted driver’s license.
• Current knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Intermediate to advanced computing skills and experience using MS Office and web-based software.
• Mechanical knowledge and machinery industry background would be an advantage.
• Ability to think quickly and provide solutions to problems that may arise.
