Workshop Technician


About the Role


We are seeking a motivated Workshop Technician to join our Technical Service team based in Victoria. In this in-house role, you will provide high-quality technical services including preventive maintenance, calibration and repair of portable dental equipment, as well as installation support for fixed workstations used in the dental industry.


You will also work closely with the field service team, providing occasional support where required, ensuring seamless service delivery to both internal and external customers.


Key Responsibilities



  • Perform maintenance, calibration and repair of dental equipment

  • Install and service fixed workstations and portable equipment

  • Provide technical support and advice to internal teams and customers

  • Ensure all workshop work is completed to high quality and safety standards

  • Maintain accurate parts usage and inventory records

  • Promote service offerings and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Keep workshop, tools and equipment clean, organised and well maintained

  • Complete service reports accurately and on time

  • Collaborate with field service and support teams when required

  • Contribute feedback to improve service processes and outcomes


About You



  • Tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical or electronic discipline

  • Experience working in a technical maintenance or service environment

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail and organisational ability

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite)

  • IT/networking knowledge advantageous

  • Physically capable of manual handling tasks

  • Maintain a safe and tidy workshop environment

  • Identify and report hazards proactively

  • Use PPE and safe work practices at all times
