Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Creative Writer to work on a new IRL ‘edutainment’ themed YouTube channel. You will be experienced writing creative scripts for youth audiences across any format that are engaging, entertaining and professional.

Your scripts and stories are always well thought out and researched, making sure topics are on trend, hitting the zeitgeist of what’s currently trending with more emphasis of it being toward younger audiences

Reporting into the Head of Creative, you will have experience writing within a multi-disciplined team, including Studio Managers, Actors and Editors and have fantastic communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will be fully trained in how to write for YouTube, therefore we are not looking for previous experience specifically with YouTube scriptwriting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scripts that are on-trend, culturally relevant, and aligns with the ‘edutainment’ style of the channel, while being highly engaging and entertaining.




• Ensure scripts are thoroughly researched across a variety of topics.




• Manage deadlines and expectations from the wider Creative and Production teams




• Collaborate with a multidisciplined team, including Studio Managers, Actors, Prop Makers, Editors and other team members in order to bring your scripts to life.




• Tracking progress with the IRL Studio / Production team




• Assist with directing content during filming.




• Maintain a strong sense of professionalism, meeting deadlines and responding to feedback effectively.




• Pitch new creative ideas and formats to keep content fresh and engaging.




• Revise and refine scripts based on input & feedback from the team.




• Balance the educational value of your scripts with entertainment, making sure topics are fun for young audiences.




• Constantly stay up to date with new trends, memes, pop culture and general media topics, to inform your script ideas and creations.




• Participate in creative meetings to discuss storyboard progress, provide updates, and collaborate with team members to refine ideas and address any concerns or challenges.

Requirements:

• Experience writing fun, & engaging stories and scripts for youth audiences




• Experience researching topics for professional scripts.




• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team




• Great communication and activeness.




• Ability to meet and understand deadlines.




• Keeping up to date with topics and trends
