Year 9 Rowing Coordinator

About the Role

As we continue to build upon our success, an exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Year 9 Rowing Coordinator, to join our school community on a part time pr full time basis.

Successful applicants will be responsible for providing quality coaching services to St Catherine’s students involved in the 2024/2025 rowing program. Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the coordination, development, and performance of the Year 9 rowing squads.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:

• Minimum 3 years rowing coaching at the school level
• Enthusiastic and motivated
• Light Rigid License (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to undertake basic to intermediate boat repairs (or a willingness to learn)
• Proven capability to tow a boat trailer (or a willingness to learn)
• Demonstrated ability to competently drive a speedboat
• Knowledge and eagerness to continue to apply best practice in coaching.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A proven ability to maintain positive relationships and displays a good level of self awareness.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and encourage young people.
• Demonstrated ability to competently drive a speedboat
• Understanding of the pastoral and duty of care responsibilities involved in coaching children
• Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times
• Proven reliability and dependability
• Ability to act as a role model in both rowing skills and sportsmanship
• First Aid qualifications
• Minimum Level 1 Coaching Accreditation
• Working with Children Check
• Victorian Drivers Licence (Light Rigid Licence Preferred).
• Boat License
