Commercial Lawyer

We have partnered with a law firm that has been operating in Canberra for 40 years to find a Commercial Lawyer with specific experience in commercial leasing to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will be have high attention to detail, expert drafting skills and ability to succesfully manage workflow in a busy practice.

Our client is a reputable full service firm located on the south side of Canberra. They specialise in property, commercial law, wills & estates and family law. With over 40 years operating in the Canberra market, they provide the highest standard of quality service to their clients.

Description

This position offers a diverse range of opportunities and to work alongside experienced lawyers in a fast paced environment. With the ability and autonomy to act in commercial matters, this role requires you to advise on:

• Commercial Leasing
• Business Sale & Purchase
• Business Structure
• Shareholder Agreements
• Contract Advice
• Franchisors and Franchisees

This opportunity will suit a hardworking, diligent, detail orientated, client focused and technically strong lawyer who strives to achieve effective results for their clients.

Profile

• 3+ years post admission commercial law experience;
• Excellent drafting skills of all matters listed above; and extremely high attention to detail
• Experience in the following areas of commercial work - commercial & retail leasing, commercial ventures/property development and general business structuring is desired;
• Comfortable with technology and systems (at least basic knowledge of PEXA)
• A friendly person with a positive and supportive attitude, with the ability to adapt and be flexible;
• An ability or willingness to adopt a mentoring and leadership role;
• Excellent advisory, negotiation and advocacy skills;
