Due to continued growth of our business, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Finance Program Management Office to lead the orchestration of the strategic program of work for Finance and Treasury, as part of the wider strategic program through the Enterprise Project Management Office.

You will be providing consistency, structure and monitoring oversight to strengthen execution for the team across all initiatives that are led, or require support, from F&T. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties from establishing and managing the integrated delivery schedule, provision of tools and frameworks, and providing relevant feedback to stakeholders and the enterprise Head of PMO. This role is also a key advisory and influencing role to establish and drive standards, support and supervision to ensure projects are planned and executed to the highest standards and management has full visibility and information to make timely decisions. You will be a key member of the F&T leadership team enabling them to understand, plan and implement on multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects, preferably with a strong focus on supporting finance and treasury processes. This is a senior leadership role that requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence and drive organizational change and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the F&T PMO function, including project portfolio management, project governance and project delivery/ change processes.

• Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards and best practices to ensure successful project execution and delivery.

• Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic priorities.

• Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to project managers and project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Monitor and track project performance, milestones, and KPIs, and provide regular status reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.

• Manage resource allocation across F&T, budgeting, and forecasting for projects, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to financial targets.

• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and corrective actions as needed.

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management and financial services, and apply insights to drive innovation and excellence.

• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the enterprise PMO and across the organization through establishing a community of practice.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, along with an accounting qualification (CA/ CPA) ideally.

• Proven experience (10+ years) in project management leadership and program office roles with a successful track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

• Experience working within Financial Services/ Banking organisations of different sizes, cultures and operational capabilities.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, Agile, hybrid) and tools (e.g., Monday.com, JIRA, Confluence) used in project planning, execution, and tracking.

• Strong knowledge of finance processes, systems and best practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strategic thinker with a focus on driving results, fostering innovation, and continuous improvement in project management practices and processes.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
