Registered Nurse

Mater Private Hospital Townsville has opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join the Surgical ward.The successful candidates will be offered Permanent Part Time employment at 0.8FTE, where you will be required to work across a rotating 24/7 roster.  

This team delivers a high level of specialised care to patients, their families and visitors via a supportive team who takes pride in providing the highest level of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable, patient focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.

Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 (RN1) per hour plus superannuation and access to NFP salary packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

• Displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit

• Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
• Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,
• Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients

About you

To be successful in your application, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• 12 months postgraduate surgical experience (desirable not essential)
• Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
• Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
• Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
• Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
