Job Description - Associate Advisor

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Associate Advisor to join one of our friendly tightknit teams (“PODS”) based in our Sydney CBD office.

About the Role

The Associate Advisor will work alongside an experienced Executive Advisor and team to support high net wealth wholesale clients, with the opportunity to be exposed to rare complex cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being the first contact to provide efficient and effective communications with clients, internal and external professionals.
  • Attend client meetings in collaboration with the Advisor and contribute to the presentation and discussions, followed by completing file notes and action items from client meetings.
  • Support strategy development, research preparation of quality advice by utilising Xplan for retail and wholesale recommendations and/or investment proposal for wholesale clients.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external institutions to carry out research, modelling, and calculations, to support the preparation of financial advice to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality client outcomes and cohesive team environment to enable the client experience expected to be delivered.
  • Manage tasks and process to ensure all comply with our Professional Standards and Guidelines as well as regulations and obligations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

We are after a self-motivated person interested in making human connections, the ideal candidate will enjoy working both independently and within a team, in addition you will have:

  • Minimum 2-year experience as a Junior Financial Advisor, Associate, Paraplanner, Advice Delivery Associate (Paraplanner) or Senior Client Services Manager with some experience in wholesale financial advice.
  • Relevant Graduate Diploma / Bachelor’s degree or on a pathway via FASEA.
  • Demonstrated experience, working knowledge of Xplan, and wholesale advice delivery is highly desirable (but not essential).
  • Excellent time management, and communication skills (both written and verbal), with demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to work in teams or independently.
