Job Description - Software desktop support technician

The Role

We’re on the hunt for a customer focused, enthusiastic and proactive Software & Desktop Support Technician to join the team for a 6-month period! Based in the Support Office in Malvern, this role is responsible for providing technical support for our network of stores, distribution centre and office-based team members across all brands across all brands.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Provide effective and efficient IT support to our teams
  • Managing new and refurbishment IT equipment in stores
  • Maintaining relationships with IT vendors
  • Maintaining internal IT management systems
  • Answering technical queries via phone, tickets, and emails
  • Managing fleet of Windows, Android and IOS devices
  • Assisting with user management
  • Undertaking basic hardware, software and network troubleshooting
  • Train team members in how to use systems or devices, as required
  • Ensuring customer service levels are high and acceptable
  • Identify and escalate IT related issues that require further investigation
  • After hours and weekend on call support
  • Other duties as directed

You will have:

  • Relevant tertiary or related qualifications
  • A background in retail IT support or retail customer support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a great phone manner
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proven Desktop Support experience across desktop systems, applications, hardware, telecommunications
  • Ability to meet schedules and timeframes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player
  • A detailed and focused approach to work
  • Developed analytical, numerical skills and practical application thereof
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
  • Positive and proactive ‘can do’ attitude
  • A current drivers license
