Job Description - Account Manager - Internal Sales

Restock ( is the market leader in consumables for Food & Pharma manufacturing with high quality, cost-effective brands, a comprehensive range and unrivaled service and delivery performance.

To support our fast national growth, we are looking for an Account Manager – for internal Sales based in Melbourne.

The Account Manager at Restock, plays a critical frontline role in making it easy and pleasant for customers to interact with the business, to proactively sustain and grow customer relationships, the product ranges they use, and their revenue spend with the business.

The Account Manager will proactively contact new prospects and arrange site visits of the External BDM team to help secure new customers, and later maintaining the required level of relationship of each allocated customer account

This role contributes to actively engaging new business and achieve the desired monthly and yearly sales performance targets set by the Sales Manager, which include both revenue and gross profit goals.

Key Role & Responsibilities :

• Proactively contacting new prospects mainly by phone to arrange appointments for the BDM.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, whilst understanding the business of our consumables.

• Acting as the primary point of contact for our customers, seeing to their business needs, and actively identifying opportunities for upselling and cross selling.

• Ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services and conducting regular business reviews and performance analyses for key accounts, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance the customer partnership.

• Identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts and strategizing to expand the company’s footprint in the market.

• Collaborating with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and customer support to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet client expectations.

• Staying updated with industry trends, new products and marketing development anticipating changes in clients’ needs, and tailoring solutions to meet evolving requirements.

• Coordinating any site visits to be conducted by an BDM from the External Sales Team;

Experience & Skills

• You have a strong track record of success in Account Management within consumables like office supplies, hygiene products and safety wear, cleaning chemicals and packaging materials for Food and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Aged care.

• You have experience in delivering client-focused solutions.

• Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g EBS) with the ability to navigate systems to analyze and draw inferences from data.

• Highly developed prospecting and cold calling skills

• You demonstrate the ability to communicate, present and influence credibly, confidently, and effectively with all levels with internal and external customers.

About you

• Have prior experience in a similar role and product knowledge

• Highly driven, and comfortable making cold calls and never shy away from the phone

• Excellent spoken English and have negotiating skills

• Outstanding networking and relationships building skills - a people person.

• Strategic thinking and proactive problem solving skills.

• An ambitious individual with a vision for career progression.
