Job Description - BESS After-sales Service Engineer

Position Overview

The BESS After-sales Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support related to energy storage systems, ensuring that the energy storage projects are executed successfully and troubleshooting any technical challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support for energy storage projects, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Documentation: Review and understand system schematics, diagrams, and operational manuals.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to energy storage systems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and installation teams to provide technical insights and guidance.
  • Training: Train clients and service contractor teams on the safe and efficient operation of the energy storage systems.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams on product improvements and potential challenges observed in the field.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in energy storage technology and integrate knowledge into daily tasks and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Compliance: Ensure all technical activities and solutions are in line with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of energy storage technologies, systems, and applications.
  • Proficiency with technical software tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site support when required.

Preferred skills

Hands-on experience with the installation and maintenance of energy storage systems.
