The purpose of the role is to support the APAC outside sales team for sales efforts and contribute to the achievement of sales targets. The Business Development Sales Support will be working with the Sales Director APAC and Business Development Managers.
The role also encompasses sales support duties to enhance the team's overall effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks include but are not limited to marketing support, coordination for familiarizations, event planning, creating reports, maintaining calendars and promotions, coordinating collateral, B2B database acquisition and maintaining trade customer information in systems.

- Hold and maintain a deep understanding of product offerings to effectively assist the sales team and address customer inquiries.
- Be able to thrive in an ever evolving, fast paced sector of travel with multiple tasks and inquiries coming in simultaneously.
- Aspects of this role require effective communication and liaison with stakeholders across multiple time zones. At times, this may entail out-of-usual hours work.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous sales and or sales support experience, minimum 3 years preferably within the trade and tourism sector.
- Familiar with best practices of sales and communications administration activities including budgeting, event planning, and sales reporting analysis.
- Advanced office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google tools (SharePoint experience a plus).
- Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems like Salesforce or similar.
- Exceptional aptitude for sales with proven success in meeting agreed KPIs.
- Proven organizational skills, dependable work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic and polite telephone manner with previous experience of delivering high levels of customer service.
- Ability to develop excellent product knowledge for immediate sales and take responsibility to consistently grow own knowledge of international destinations, specifically those being offered by Aurora Expeditions.
- Previous experience and knowledge of adventure/expedition travel to Polar destinations. (preferable)
- Broad knowledge of destinations and an international travel background. (preferable)
