Company Description Why work for Accor? The position is based in Accor's flagship Canberra hotel, Novotel Canberra conveniently based in the city centre opposite the light rail. We are a 286-room hotel with 8 conferencing and event facilities hosting all events from Corporate groups to sports teams. Job Description Responsibilities: Monitor performance of Conference Vision (or its equivalent) in line with agreed targets Monitor competitors within region and provide recommendations on changes to current sell strategies. Provide detailed conference and events proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs ensuring revenue is maximised. Coordinate and host familiarisation and site inspection activity including follow-up. Drive sales to ensure conversion targets are achieved and monitor success on a monthly basis. Assist in coordinating sales forecasts and provide suggestions on strategies to achieve targets Qualifications Your Experience and Skills Include: Experienced event coordinator with a proven track record in a team environment. Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and professional conference organisers (PCOs). Committed to delivering outstanding events and customer experiences. Excellent interpersonal, sales, and communication skills. Effective time management skills with a keen eye for detail. Exceptional organisational and administrative skills, including proficiency in events software. Unlimited work rights in Australia.
