About the Role

Situated adjacent to the Tonsley precinct, an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Account Manager to join our business has been created due to our recent growth and ongoing success.

With a strong focus on your personal growth and career development, you will be mentored, coached, and fully supported by the Sales Manager. Through customer account management, you will develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and oversee sales in a defined territory. This may involve off-site meetings and field work that will assist you in building a rapport with new and existing customers and developing your skills to understand customers’ often complex needs, ensuring you can deliver solutions that will exceed their expectations every time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working proactively with the Sales Manager, Customer Service and Technical teams to ensure customer needs are met

• A strong focus on establishing, building and maintaining regular contact with new and existing customers and forging strong relationships

• Identifying prospects/customer needs

• Achieving and concentrating on sales activities and sales goals.

• Playing an integral role in existing and new sales strategies and holding responsibility for the effective management of key account stakeholders within the defined territory

• Seeking out opportunities and actively following up on those opportunities

About You

You may be in a technical customer service or sales role; maybe you’re a bit too office bound and are keen to stretch yourself, get into the field and see what you can make of yourself. At Global Pumps, we have a proven track record of developing high performing salespeople who are comfortable attending face-to-face meetings with clients and working with them to solve their tough challenges.

Some aspects integral to this role are:

• A knowledge/understanding of machines and mechanical equipment

• Some previous experience in sales

• Competent computing skills with the ability to learn CRM software and processes

• Enthusiasm to embrace sales activity targets and sales goals

• A willingness to travel interstate to our different customers

• Positive and clear verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to ask the hard questions

• Excellent organisational skills

• Outgoing, friendly personality

• Motivation, keenness and energy for learning sales and the art of selling

• An ability to work in a team environment and individually

• A strong commitment to learn and succeed via ongoing coaching

• The flexibility and interest in potential relocation interstate

• The right to work in Australia
