What will I be doing?

You will manage a team of sales executives (working from home in various locations throughout Australia) The team manage and grow, high value and large potential share of revenue from Corporate SME accounts as well as some Leisure and MICE accounts for Hilton in Australia. The role also directly manages a portfolio of accounts on a local and national basis where relevant.  They will be accountable for the performance of the team, their selected accounts on a local and national basis and there will be some opportunity to drive outbound revenue. They will create and communicate the account strategies in order to drive increased market share. They will be responsible for the implementation and execution of various projects that will drive market share as well as demonstrate value to both internal and external customers. You will report into the Director, Area Sales Office. 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Identify resources, drive activities, and confer with key stakeholders to ensure objectives of the sales function are accomplished.
  • Manage and Develop team of direct reports. Implementing regular meetings, reviews, and team activities.
  • Implements plans to ensure overall strategic direction of the account base and supports the company’s revenue strategies.
  • Ensure that team implements account plans that specify objectives and sales activities to support the defined account strategy and ensure maximum opportunity for account penetration.
  • Establish and develop long term effective working relationships with key customers to drive business.
  • Execute strategic account development plans and supports communications of key messages internally and externally.
  • Manage and update Sales systems accordingly and ensue system accuracy.
  • Network with sub account handlers and global leads where relevant.
  • Strengthen relationships with key hotels and aligning strategies where relevant.
  • Be accountable for communicating the strategy, ADP, and activities on a regular basis, along with relevant issues, opportunities, and successes.
  • Manage cross-functional links to other teams, departments, and functions.
  • Organise regular meetings to take place throughout the designated sales territory.
  • Other activities related to planning, organizing, managing, and controlling to drive share.


What are we looking for?

  • University degree or experience in lieu thereof
  • Excellent communication skills:  presentations, written and public speaking.
  • Significant work experience in customer facing, revenue generating roles including management experience.
  • Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred in Sales, Marketing, Revenue or Operating roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of business sector managed.
  • SalesForce experience advantageous.
