Process Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled engineer to join our team at Multotec as a Process Engineer. You will be responsible for providing process and technical support to the sales and service teams, as well as collaborating with design and manufacturing staff to ensure the supply of high-quality mineral processing and other separation equipment. Your role will involve generating technical and commercial reports and proposals, managing product design improvements, and ensuring customer requirements are met. Travel within Australia, and internationally (APAC) may be required.

Skills

- Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify issues in processing equipment.

- Proficiency in using CAD software for product design management. Not essential.

- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external customers.

- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.

- Familiarity with mineral processing equipment such as hydrocyclones, spirals, DMC's screen media ancillaries, sieve bends, trommel screens, static screens.

- Demonstrated knowledge of processing technology principles would be highly regarded

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to the sales, manufacturing and service teams.

- Collaborate with design and manufacturing staff to ensure the timely supply of products according to customer requirements.

- Generate technical reports detailing product performance evaluations or recommendations for improvements.

- Assist in developing proposals by providing accurate technical information..

- Conduct research on industry trends related to mineral processing equipment technologies and incorporate findings into product design improvements.

- Work closely with customers during site visits or meetings to understand their specific needs or challenges related to screening processes.

- Maintain strong relationships with key clients through effective communication and problem-solving assistance.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 3-5 years' experience in a related field is preferred but new graduates will be considered.

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for product design management. Not essential.

- Prior experience working in the manufacturing industry is highly regarded.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
