Sales Delivery Driver

Floridia Cheese are a successful family-owned business based in Thomastown for more than 65 years and proud to be known for our award-winning Italian style cheese. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Full Time Sales Delivery Driver to join our team in Thomastown, Hours generally are 6am-3pm Monday to Friday.

This is not your typical Delivery Driver role, you will be responsible for your “mini store on wheels” delivering products to customers in a timely and efficient manner, taking orders, providing excellent customer service an up selling where required.

Skills :

• Medium Rigid (MR) Truck license to drive a 6 tonne truck
• Valid driver's license and excellent knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic math skills for cash handling during deliveries and savy with ipads
• Highly motivated, flexible with a solid work ethic and positive attitude
• Physically fit with the ability to load and unload delivery van

Responsibilities :

• Loading and delivery of chilled cheese products to 15-25 multi-drop customer orders as per designated delivery route each day
• Ensuring all invoices are processed and signed correctly and maintain computer software
• Daily stock reconciliation and replenishment of delivery van stock
• Maintaining cleanliness of delivery van
• Build relationships and provide exceptional customer service and uphold Florida’s reputation
• Ensuring that work is performed to Workplace Health and Safety Standards
• Safely drive the delivery vehicle to designated locations, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by professionally interacting with customers during deliveries.
• Collect payments from customers, issue receipts, and maintain accurate cash handling records.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and ensure proper maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to coordinate product availability for upcoming deliveries.
• Display ability and confidence to upsell and introduce new products to customers

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role is advantageous
• Must possess a valid driver's license with no major driving offenses or DUI convictions within the past five years.
• Refrigerated food and multi drop experience advantage
