The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our Sales & Events team and the growing world of hospitality. In this role you’ll work across a portfolio of some of Sydney's most iconic restaurants, bars and night spots including Establishment, ivy, Coogee Pavilion and many more at Sydney’s largest hospitality group. The Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of exclusive events across over 90+ venues in the Merivale portfolio, exceeding the sales budget and ensuring the best client experience. The primary focus will be converting enquiries and developing new opportunities ​through business development for events in the corporate and social events markets. Your focus will be around: Responding to incoming event enquiries in a timely and efficient manner Calling repeat event follow-ups for future business Achieving and exceeding set targets Ensuring that clients find it easy to do business with Merivale Hosting site visits and engaging tours of venues Provide a thorough and precise handover of contracted events to the Event Delivery Team. You will also need to identify new opportunities for Business Development, ensuring maximum occupancy of venue spaces. You will partner with our Senior Key Accounts Manager to develop new initiatives for growth in your portfolio of venues. To succeed in this role, you will have: 3-5 years’ experience in a Sales role, ideally with events and conference selling knowledge. You are outgoing and approachable. Love working in a team environment. Proven ​tactical sales skills as well as high attention to detail. Hunger to convert business and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop Merivale’s unique selling propositions and differentiators with inbound enquiries.
