The Role: You will report to the Australian General Manager as well as the New Zealand CEO.
You will be responsible for innovation, new business development through product development, sourcing new products and trailing materials at different customer sites.
- 40% of your role will involve engaging customers, understanding their needs and providing them with solutions.
- 20% of your role will involve solving these customer’s problems
- The remaining 40% of you role will sit across, reporting, managing the project databases, collaborating with the Sydney and New Zealand manufacturing sites and general administration duties.
Your role will be Moorebank region based with WFH flexibility. You will also be required to travel to the organisations main manufacturing facility in Auckland New Zealand every 6 weeks for a 2-3 days at a time.
Your main duties will involve:
- Implement strategies, develop new products, and establish customer relationships.
- Provide technical feedback from customers to improve and develop products to create solutions for customer.
- Provide Sales & Marketing leadership, including presenting to colleagues and customers on new and existing products and markets.
- Work alongside the Australian General Manager ensuring that adequate focus and time is being placed on key markets and target customers.
- Provide process engineering capability, trouble shooting and leadership across the manufacturing sites and as required.
- Provide new market development support to the New Zealand Marketing and Manufacturing departments as required.
Your Experience will include : To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering are advantageous, however career experience across, engineering, Research and Development / laboratory / chemistry fields in the packaging / printing industry is also highly regarded
- Strong material’s knowledge and an understanding of the chemistry of paper, foil and plastic packaging
- A strong manufacturing managerial background preferably from the Food and Beverage, pharmaceutical or consumer goods industries across packaging and printing.
- Have solid experience in a technical role with an in-depth understanding of polymers and extrusion coating.
- Excellent ability to engage with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions
