Brisbane CBD based with hybrid working options, contract role to start ASAP, HR Generalist role Your new company

We have partnered with a government department who are working through a busy time of change and transformation.
Working as part of a collaborative HR team they require an experienced HR generalist to join their team.

Your new role

Key responsibilities will include:

Working within the HR team and providing support to the Principal HR Business Partner, some key duties will include:

• Providing operationally focused HR advisory and consultancy services, particularly in the areas of industrial and employee relations, complex case management, performance management, industrial instruments, HR policy and procedures
• Providing performance and development advice and support to managers and employees
• Managing key projects relating to employment arrangements and HR

What you'll need to succeed

Your key attributes for success in this role will include:

• Experience providing HR advisory and consultancy services within the Queensland State Government is desirable
• Tertiary qualifications within HR or a related discipline
• Knowledge of and the ability to interpret relevant industrial acts, awards, and frameworks
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult with a wide range of stakeholders
