ConsultANZ currently requires a full time Accountant with atleast 3 years post grad experience to work for one of our clients based in Sydney.

Main Duties:

Interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of cost, budgets, policies of operations, trends, and increased profit possibilities.
Direct the establishment of accounting principles, practices, policies, and procedures and maintain these controls.
Prepare and collate statistics for periodic and yearly financial statements, including the preparation of charts and graphs showing progress and results.
Prepare and evaluate capital expenditure projects and long-range financial plans and forecasts.
Make recommendations concerning management of funds and financial policy.
Ensure consolidation of regular reports, budgets, and forecasts from operational divisions for submission to management
Prepare all schedules for financial reporting in accord with statutory requirements and the needs of management.
Maintain records of actual operating figures for comparison with estimated budgets
Prepare and collate plant utilisation reports for review by management.
Maintain and guide central accounting operations including creditors, debtors, cash control and maintenance of general ledger.
Assist external taxation advisers with preparation of annual statutory returns for all relevant bodies.
Provide input into taxation and risk management strategy development and implementation and ensure that all taxation transactions comply with current legislation.
Develop relationships with clients to promote the organisation’s goals including but not limited to procuring works and facilitating special payment terms.
Develop relationship with external advisors to provide the best possible outcomes for the organization.
Ensure effective use is made of systems to improve efficiency and assist and advise in the development of new management information systems.
Liase with financial institutions regarding ongoing finance needs for purchasing plant equipment.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree minimum or higher (commerce, accounting); Sound knowledge of company operations and activities, processes, systems, and procedures.
Significant (3 Years minimum) experience in managing financial and accounting transactions to the degree required to be able to meet the Company’s short- and long-term plans.
High-level analytical skills particularly in terms of performance analysis
Ability to develop strong internal and external partnerships.
High-level communication skills and strong negotiation skills
Eye for detail as well as the ability to see the bigger picture.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and is results focused.
Sound time management and organizational skills.
Independent/self-starter.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and accounting/payroll software.
